Thiruvananthapuram, May 16 -- The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) on Saturday began a decisive round of discussions to finalise the composition of the new Kerala Cabinet ahead of the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for Monday.

Chief Minister-designate V. D. Satheesan and UDF convener Adoor Prakash are holding talks with leaders of constituent parties from 10 am onwards to decide ministerial berths and portfolio allocation.

At a UDF leadership meeting held on Friday, it was decided that the entire 21-member Council of Ministers would be sworn in together on Monday.
