Abu Dhabi/Tehran, Aug. 19 -- The UAE has suspended all trade and financial ties with Iran following a series of Iranian attacks on Gulf shipping, including on Emirati linked vessels.
Afra Al Hameli, director of the UAE Foreign Ministry's Strategic Communications Department, said on Wednesday that "all trade, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran have been halted until further notice" amid the escalating conflict.
Abu Dhabi on Tuesday accused Tehran of firing two ballistic missiles at maritime traffic, saying both fell into the sea, though Tehran dismissed the allegation as "baseless".
