New Delhi, March 23 -- Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the United Arab Emirates President on Monday criticised Arab and Islamic countries for what he described as a failure to support Gulf states facing Iranian attacks, warning that the lack of collective action undermines regional credibility.

Anwar Gargash aid regional institutions had been largely absent as Gulf nations came under sustained security threats.

"Where are the Arab and Islamic working institutions, chief among them the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation whilst our people and nations are facing this treacherous Iranian aggression?" Gargash said.
