Dubai, June 13 -- The United Arab Emirates has rejected media reports claiming that it transferred part of Iran's unfrozen assets worth $3 billion, according to a statement from the UAE Foreign Ministry on Saturday.

"The United Arab Emirates has categorically denied reports published by certain international media outlets alleging the transfer of funds from the UAE to the Islamic Republic of Iran, including allegations concerning USD 3 billion," the ministry said.

The ministry described the claims as "completely false and baseless," adding that no frozen Iranian funds have been unlocked, transferred, or facilitated through the UAE.
