Panchkula, Sept. 9 -- A two-year-old girl was allegedly mowed down by a car while playing outside her house in Gurugram, following which the 31-year-old driver was apprehended, Haryana Police said on Tuesday.
A Haryana Police spokesperson said the incident occurred between 8.30 pm and 9 pm on September 7 in the Sector-5 police station area.
According to the complaint lodged by the girl's father, he was standing outside the house with his family while his two-year-old daughter was playing nearby when a car allegedly being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner ran over her.
Police received information from a hospital later that night that the child had been admitted with serious injuries.
