Hyderabad, July 28 -- Two senior faculty members of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) have been awarded the prestigious J C Bose Grant (JBG) by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to scientific research.

The awardees are Prof. Rajadurai Chandrasekar of the School of Chemistry and Prof Naresh Babu V Sepuri of the Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences.

Prof Chandrasekar's project focuses on AI-enabled soft materials for programmable optical communication devices, while Prof Sepuri will study mitochondrial heterogeneity and its role in metabolic diseases, ageing and organelle dynamics.
