Dimapur, May 19 -- Kohima police arrested two underground operatives belonging to the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) for their alleged involvement in an extortion racket in state capital Kohima, police said.
Many incriminating documents were also recovered from their possession.
The release said a team of Kohima police mounted discreet surveillance at around 8 pm on May 18, following specific intelligence regarding the movement of certain underground factions in the main town area.
After sustained surveillance, two FGN cadres were apprehended from Razhu Point area at around 2 am on Tuesday. They have been identified as Kudukhoyi Vero (38), "self-styled" 'Chaplee finance kilonser' (Rhakho group) and Mulevo Khesoh (35), 'self-styled'...
