New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Two-time Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo will be the International Event Ambassador for the Delhi Half Marathon, which will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 18. The Bahamian sprinter, one of the most accomplished athletes of her generation, will be part of the prestigious road race.
Miller-Uibo won Olympic gold in the women's 400m at both the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Games. Her victory in Tokyo made her only the second woman, after France's Marie-Jose Perec, to successfully defend an Olympic 400m title. She clocked a North American record of 48.36 seconds in the final.
The 30-year-old has also enjoyed considerable success at the World Athletics Championships, winning silver in the 400m in 2015 ...
