Kolkata, July 22 -- Two Thai women were arrested by the Kolkata Police's Special Task Force (STF) in connection with a probe into a racket of smuggling foreign drugs into Kolkata for the city's rave parties, an officer said on Wednesday.
The two Bangkok residents were apprehended by STF detectives while attempting to traffic the drugs after arriving in Kolkata posing as tourists.
Police identified the two Thai women as Supawadi Sukuliyat and Suthuwana Kut. They had flown from Bangkok to Kolkata on tourist visas specifically to smuggle the foreign drug.
