Mumbai, June 16 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested two RTO agents for allegedly accepting Rs 3,500 as a bribe to renew a driving licence, officials said here on Tuesday.

The ACB Mumbai unit laid a trap after receiving a complaint from an applicant.

Officials verified the bribe demand, then caught the accused identified as Rajendar Bind and Mustafa Noor Mohamed Salot red-handed while accepting money outside the RTO premises.

A case was registered under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 pending a further probe.

ACB Mumbai has intensified action against touts operating near RTO offices. Similar traps led to the arrest of agents at Tardeo accepting for Rs 1,500 per case and a clerk in Borivli who took a Rs. 4,000 bribe recently.
