New Delhi, July 12 -- : Central Delhi Police on Sunday said that its Anti-Narcotics Cell has arrested two proclaimed offenders who were wanted in separate robbery and cheating cases.
The accused had allegedly been evading court proceedings and was traced through local intelligence and sustained surveillance.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Rohit Rajbir Singh said the arrests were made as part of a special drive against proclaimed offenders and absconders. He said both accused were apprehended in separate operations after receiving specific intelligence about their whereabouts.
The arrested accused have been identified as Akash alias Golu, a resident of Loni in Uttar Pradesh, and a 55-year-old woman from Sonia Vihar in Delhi.
