Imphal, April 16 -- Security forces and Manipur Police carried out a series of coordinated operations across the state on Wednesday, leading to multiple arrests, recovery of stolen vehicles, seizure of contraband, and destruction of militant infrastructure.
Security forces intercepted a vehicle at Rengkai in Churachandpur district and arrested two individuals, Ngamkhomang Haokip of S. Moldung and Letminthang Haokip of Lhangnom village. The vehicle along with three mobile phones was seized. Police stated that the duo was involved in an earlier incident of open firing at Sielmat Bridge in Churachandpur, in which a Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel sustained a bullet injury.
