Bengaluru, May 23 -- Two men who allegedly questioned suspected illegal cattle transportation on the outskirts of Bengaluru were assaulted by a mob, triggering tension in the area and prompting a police investigation, officials said on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred under the limits of the Anugondanahalli Police Station when the victims sought details about cattle allegedly being transported and stored illegally ahead of Bakrid festivities. The mob allegedly attacked the duo, leaving them injured.
