Imphal, May 4 -- Two separate memorandum submitted to the Centre have called for immediate and decisive intervention to restore peace and stability in Manipur, highlighting the prolonged impact of the ongoing conflict and rising public concern.
One memorandum, addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the All India Forward Bloc (Manipur State Committee), stated that over the past three years, more than 260 people have been killed, over 8,000 houses destroyed, and nearly 60,000 people displaced. It noted that many displaced persons are living in relief camps under difficult conditions, while normal life across the state remains severely disrupted.
