New Delhi, May 31 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Sunday suspended two engineers of the building department with immediate effect following a building collapse near the Saket Metro station in south Delhi, officials said on Sunday.
The Deputy Commissioner of MCD's South Zone ordered the suspension of an Assistant Engineer of Building Department-I and a Junior Engineer of Building Department-II.
As per the order issued in this connection, the Assistant Engineer of the building department- I has been suspended on grounds of non- exercising of effective supervision and the alleged slackness on his part regarding the collapse of property situated on Western Marg, Said-ul-Azaib.
