Kolkata, June 18 -- In a significant development, two PSOs (Personal Security Officers) of former chief minister Mamata Banerjee's choice have been withdrawn following standard security protocol for VVIPs.
Though according to the state administration, security officers are deployed in a rotational method to avoid leaking of any sensitive security-related information, the issue has taken a political turn after TMC Rajya Sabha member Derek O'Brien alleged that the change was politically motivated.
Taking to Facebook and social media, Derek questioned the sudden move and raised concerns over Mamata Banerjee's security arrangements.
