Ranchi, March 13 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team on Friday conducted a raid in the District Land Acquisition Office in Deoghar district of Jharkhand and arrested two employees red-handed while accepting a bribe.
The arrested employees have been identified as Niranjan and Nunu Dev. According to information, both were allegedly demanding a commission from a beneficiary in exchange for releasing compensation for land acquired under the Ring Road project.
ACB officials laid a trap and caught the duo at the moment they were accepting nearly five percent of the total compensation amount as a bribe from the beneficiary. The bribe money was also recovered during the operation.
