Two labourers killed in bridge collapse in Jammu's Bantalab area

Jammu, May 1 -- Two labourers were killed when a portion of an under-construction bridge collapsed burying them under debris, in the Bantalab area here.

At least four labourers were buried in the bridge collapse, two of who have died, while one has been pulled out alive. Efforts are on to rescue the fourth worker, officials said.

"The bridge, which had suffered damages in last year's flash floods, was being repaired by the labourers," officials said.

While they were at the site, a portion of the bridge suddenly collapsed, burying labourers engaged at the site.
