Shimla, July 31 -- Two persons, including a woman, were killed and another was seriously injured after a moving car was struck by a falling boulder and plunged into a gorge in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh on Friday, officials said.
The accident occurred at around 10.30 a.m. on the Ranabagh-Deori road in Ani subdivision when heavy rocks rolled down from a hillside and hit the vehicle.
The deceased were identified as gynaecologist Dr. Brij Thakur and his wife. Their daughter, who was travelling with them, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to the Civil Hospital, Ani, for treatment.
