Imphal, March 16 -- Security forces have arrested a man along with illegal arms and ammunition during an operation conducted in Imphal West district.
According to police, the arrest took place on Sunday at Laipham Khunou Mayai Leikai under Lamphel Police Station. The arrested individual has been identified as Boicha Singh.
During the operation, security personnel recovered a .32 pistol along with two magazines and ten live rounds of ammunition from his possession. In addition, a mobile phone and an Aadhaar card were also seized.
Police said the arrested person and the seized items have been handed over to the concerned police station for further legal action.
