Yamunanagar, Oct. 11 -- Haryana Police have arrested two men for allegedly attempting to break open an ATM near the Chhota Bus Stand in Bilaspur, causing damage estimated at Rs 2 lakh, police said on Sunday.
The accused, Jaichand alias Mula of Milk Khas village and Shubham alias Guni of Araiyawala, were arrested by the Anti-Burglary Staff-cum-Anti-Narcotics Cell-2 team, a police official said.
According to police, the duo allegedly hatched the plan while drinking alcohol and attempted to break open the ATM during the night. After failing to access the cash despite repeated attempts, they fled the spot. No cash was stolen, but the ATM suffered damage worth approximately Rs 2 lakh.
