Buxar, Sept. 9 -- District and Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge-I (SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act), Buxar, Uday Pratap Singh Wednesday sentenced two men to 20 years' rigorous imprisonment for allegedly gang-raping a woman and subsequently circulating her objectionable photographs on social media.
The Judge convicted Deepak Ram and Kanhaiya Gond under Section 376(D) of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced each of them to 20 years'' rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000.
The court directed the concerned authority to take necessary steps to provide the fine amount to the victim as compensation. In default of payment, the convicts will have to undergo additional imprisonment.
