Imphal, June 30 -- Two persons from Rajasthan were apprehended with five kg of opium in Manipur yesterday, police today said.
A statement from the Manipur Police said security forces intercepted a car at Leingangpokpi under Jiribam-PS, Jiribam district and arrested its occupants along with contraband items.
The two persons were identified as Dhanraj Prajapat and Buddha Ram.
Police further said along with the five kg of opium, Rs 50,000 in cash and the vehicle were seized.
