Chennai, July 19 -- Two finance firm owners were arrested and Rs 2.82 crore unaccounted cash were seized from their office in the city in connection with the case relating to poach a ruling TVK Legislator with a Rs 35 crore bribery offer to vote against a resolution to be moved against the Speaker in an attempt to topple the government led by Chief Minister Vijay.
Police sources said based on a complaint lodged by TVK Uthangarai MLA Dr N Elayaraja who alleged that Thirunavukkarasu, a YouTuber and the proprietor of a public opinion polling agency named IPDS, along with certain associates, attempted to induce himby offering an illegal gratification of Rs 35 crores, the Triplicane police registered a case and have arrested 12 people so far.
