Gorakhpur, July 22 -- The Uttar Pradesh Government on Wednesday concluded a two-day review and field inspection programme in Gorakhpur, marking a focused push to unlock the region's wider potential as a major centre of spiritual, Buddhist and cultural tourism.
Led by Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs, Amrit Abhijat, the exercise covered 30 Tourism Department proposals, three Religious Affairs Department projects and three Culture Department projects under the financial year 2026 to 2027 action plan. The 30 Tourism Department proposals carry a combined estimated outlay of nearly Rs 77 crore.
