New Delhi, June 17 -- Delhi Police's Cyber Police Station in East District has busted an alleged job fraud racket and arrested two persons accused of cheating job seekers by offering fake employment opportunities in reputed Japanese companies.

East District DCP Rajeev Kumar said the accused were part of an organised cyber fraud syndicate that targeted victims across the country by posing as recruitment consultants and representatives of well-known foreign firms. Efforts are underway to identify other members of the network and trace additional victims, he added.

According to police, the action stemmed from a complaint filed by a woman who alleged that she had been induced to deposit Rs1.63 lakh on the promise of securing a job in Japan. T...
