Bhopal, May 28 -- The Madhya Pradesh High Court has cancelled the anticipatory bail of retired judge Giribala Singh in the case of the suspicious death of her daughter-in-law, Twisha Sharma.
The High Court at Jabalpur issued its order late night on Wednesday, after hearing the matter earlier in the day.
The single bench of Justice Devnarayan Mishra heard the matter.
The High Court set aside the 15 May order of a Bhopal Court, which had granted anticipatory bail to Giribala Singh.
The High Court questioned the manner in which anticipatory bail was granted. It also noted that the seriousness of the case and the evidence on record did not justify bail to the accused (Giribala Singh).
