New Delhi, March 15 -- Tamil film star and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay was grilled by the CBI for over seven hours in connection with the Karur stampede case on Sunday.

He left the CBI's headquarters at around 6 pm. This was his third round of questioning. An elite team of the CBI recorded his statementEarlier, his statement was recorded on January 12 and January 19 by an elite team of the federal probe agency.

On March 10, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) asked the film star to join the investigation on March 15, while Karur MLA and former Tamil Nadu Minister V. Senthilbalaji has been asked to join the probe on March 17.
