Tumakuru (Karnataka), June 27 -- A 30-year-old man died and a 23-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after a moving car caught fire following an alleged petrol bomb explosion and stabbing incident on the Bengaluru-Pune National Highway near Jogihalli in Shira taluk of Tumakuru district on Saturday.
Police said the incident occurred when Nagendra, a Bengaluru resident, and Ramya Ullas, both working as OT technicians at a hospital in Bengaluru, were travelling from Bengaluru to Ankola in a hired car along with a driver.
During the journey, an argument reportedly broke out between the two over personal issues. The situation escalated when Nagendra allegedly attacked Ramya with a knife inside the moving vehicle.
