Tirumala, April 27 -- : Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Monday directed operators of big canteens in Tirumala to expedite modernisation works and make the facilities available to devotees at the earliest in view of the ongoing summer rush.

During a review meeting with canteen operators, he instructed that food items should be sold strictly at prices fixed as per TTD norms.

He also directed that only traditional food items be served and that hotel staff adhere to the prescribed dress code.

The official emphasised maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in hotels and surrounding areas to ensure a hygienic environment for devotees.
