Ontimitta (Kadapa Dist, March 27 -- The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Friday commenced preparation and packing of Talambralu for the upcoming Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple here.
The ritual is part of the Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams, with the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita scheduled to be held on April 1.
The programme began with special temple rituals, followed by a ceremonial procession of materials to the PAC near the Kalyana Vedika.
The sacred Talambralu prepared using rice, turmeric and ghee along with pearls and kankanam (sacred threads) are being packed into approximately 1.60 lakh packets for distribution during the festivities.
