Agartala, July 15 -- The Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) issued a comprehensive advisory to the organisers of Rath Yatra on July 16 and the Return Rath Yatra on July 22 to avoid electricity-related disaster.
TSECL Managing Director Biswajit Basu said that their staff has been asked to check all power lines, poles, and transformers along the parade routes now. Any faults found must be fixed quickly to avoid danger.
The plan calls for safe gaps between overhead wires and the chariots. Staff will work with local officials to keep the paths clear. TSECL is placing engineers and line workers at key spots. Repair teams and tools will be ready 24/7 to fix any power cuts.
