Washington, July 21 -- US President Donald Trump is approaching a decisive point in the war with Iran, as American and Israeli officials are weighing two possible paths: pursuing a short-term ceasefire to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or expand upon military operations to coerce Tehran to come to an agreement.

According to regional and US officials, Trump is yet to make a final decision, though he is likely to make one in the coming days which will determine whether Washington and Tehran will sort out their problems diplomatically or further their hostilities.
