Washington, June 11 -- US President Donald Trump has urged congressional Republicans to swiftly pass a $350 billion defence spending package that would also introduce sweeping changes to federal election rules ahead of next year's midterm elections.
In a post on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump called on lawmakers to move the package "immediately" on what he described as "Recon 3.0", a new budget bill that Republicans hope to pass without Democratic support.
