Washington, March 31 -- US President Donald Trump told his aides that he is willing to end the ongoing military campaign against Iran, without resolving the issue of the Strait of Hormuz barricade, which currently remains largely closed.
Citing the complexity of the operation, and time constraints, which Trump and his aides said would far exceed Washington's four-to-six-week timeline to end the war, Trump said that he may launch a second military operation to reopen the strait at a later point in time, should the crisis remain unresolved, Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
