Washington, March 19 -- US President Donald Trump said Israel will not carry out further strikes on Iran's key gas infrastructure, in an apparent attempt to contain a rapidly escalating energy front in the war.
Trumps remarks come following an Israeli strike on the South Pars gas field -- one of the world's largest and a cornerstone of Iran's economy -- marking the first time gas infrastructure has been directly targeted. US and Israeli officials said the operation was coordinated with Washington.
