Washington, May 23 -- US President Donald Trump said Saturday that he would meet later in the day with senior negotiators to review Iran's latest proposal, and would likely decide by Sunday whether or not to resume military operations against Iran, giving it all a 50-50 chance.

Speaking about the state of negotiations, Trump said that Washington's chances of reaching an agreement with Tehran were "a solid 50/50", saying the outcome would either be a "good deal" or a decision to "blow them to kingdom come", reports Axios.

Trump said he planned to hold talks with envoy Steve Witkoff and adviser Jared Kushner, with Vice President JD Vance also expected to join the discussions.
