Washington, March 13 -- US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the Pentagon has "virtually unlimited" ammunition reserves, claiming the military could sustain its campaign against Iran for as long as necessary.
In an interview with Fox News and its radio service, the president said the US forces were striking Iran heavily and had the resources to continue indefinitely, reports CBS News.
"We're hitting them very hard. We have unlimited ammunition . We have virtually unlimited ammunition, and we're using it," Trump said. "We could go forever."He added that Washington could inflict far greater damage but was deliberately exercising restraint, actively choosing not to escalate the war to that level.
