Washington, July 31 -- US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced what he called a "historic" agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza, saying the deal would mark a major step towards ending the conflict and establishing a new Palestinian government in the territory.
Announcing the development on his Truth Social platform, Trump said the agreement had been reached by the international Board of Peace, which he chairs, and would be implemented in carefully structured phases.
