Washington, Sept. 1 -- US President Donald Trump and his senior advisers have been considering carrying out limited strikes in the Strait of Hormuz to prevent Iran from rebuilding its radar and missile capabilities and launching more accurate attacks on commercial vessels, according to three US officials.
The plan, developed over the past week by CENTCOM and supported by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, was reportedly not approved by Trump prior to the latest armed exchanges with Iran. However, he could potentially greenlight it in light of the recent escalation, reports Axios.
