Una, Aug. 25 -- More than 40 pilgrims were injured after a truck carrying them reportedly went out of control and plunged into a deep gorge near Pir Nigaha, a famous shrine in Una district, on Tuesday.
Three of the seriously injured have been sent to PGI for treatment, an official spokesman said.
As per reports, there were 50 pilgrims present in the truck.
All the pilgrims are said to be residents of the Indri area in Karnal district, Haryana.
According to the sources, pilgrims had arrived two days earlier to pay obeisance at the Pir Nigaha temple and organise a "bhandara" (community feast).
