Hyderabad, June 28 -- Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) President K Kavitha on Sunday announced that the party would launch a major land rights agitation at Uppal Bhagayath on July 2 to demand implementation of the Congress party's promise of providing 250 square yards of land to Telangana movement activists.
Speaking after hoisting the Telangana Rakshana Sena flag at Uppal Pista House Cross Roads, Kavitha described Uppal as a stronghold of the Telangana movement and said the aspirations of the statehood struggle remained unfulfilled even after the formation of Telangana.
She appealed to activists from across the state to participate in large numbers in the proposed agitation.
