Agartala, June 21 -- Tripura is preparing to take a step toward becoming a technology-driven state with plans to establish a new IT Park at Amtali Bypass in Agartala, with an anticipated initial investment of approximately Rs 500 crore, said Tripura Finance and IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy on Sunday.
Highlighting various IT initiatives already implemented in the state, including paperless governance, Wi-Fi connectivity in schools and colleges, and the distribution of over 50,000 smartphones to students, he informed that Bharti Airtel's Nxtra division is also constructing the largest private data centre and a regional corporate office in the state.
