Agartala, Sept. 9 -- Tripura government is considering deploying an advanced vehicle-scanning system at Churaibari check post on the Assam-Tripura border to enhance surveillance of inter-state movement of goods.
The Finance and Information Technology Minister, Pranajit Singha Roy, highlighted the intention to implement technology that will facilitate smoother vehicle movement and enable the collection and real-time monitoring of vital information without subjecting drivers to prolonged checks.
The proposed scanner-based technology is designed to automatically capture details of vehicles, their cargo, and drivers, transmitting the information to headquarters in real time to track vehicle movement.
