Agartala, Sept. 16 -- Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) today announced a timeline for setting up polling stations in preparation for the 2026 General Election to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), marking the electoral preparation for urban body elections in the state, scheduled in December.
Pursuant to a directive issued by State Election Commissioner Dr P K Chakravarty, the preliminary roster of polling stations will be made available tomorrow.
Upon publication of this preliminary roster, the citizens will be afforded the opportunity to lodge claims, objections, or recommendations pertaining to the designated polling stations.
The submission deadline for such claims and objections has been established as September 21.
