Agartala, March 8 -- Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury today accused the ruling BJP in Tripura of institutionalising corruption, asserting that a rampant "loot raj" has taken hold across the state.
Chaudhury expressed concerns over the political and social climate under the current regime. He said that the BJP-led government at the Centre has engineered a complex political scenario in Tripura that he described as avoidable. He further alleged that their governance prioritises protecting the interests of major capitalists above all else.
