Agartala, Aug. 13 -- The Tripura administration has removed the requirement for a Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) in the recruitment process for government jobs at a meeting of the council of ministers on Wednesday.
The Cabinet spokesperson and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this change shifts the focus toward local educational ties. Candidates from outside Tripura will now need to prove a connection to the state by having completed five consecutive years of study in its schools, colleges, or universities.
