Agartala, June 12 -- Tripura has experienced a significant rise in the participation of women in the workforce during the last three years, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha informed the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog on Friday.
He attributed this surge to specific initiatives aimed at empowering women, fostering entrepreneurship, developing skills, and promoting financial inclusion throughout the state.
The percentage of women in the labour force increased from 37.5% in 2022 to 45.9% in 2025.
