Agartala, Oct. 22 -- Following the arrest of Amir Shokeen, a social media content creator, over alleged racial slurs hurled at a young tribal man from Tripura, a police team from Tripura, with DSP Headquarters Samudra Debbarma at the helm, has traveled to Delhi this evening to secure Amir's transit remand to Agartala.
Earlier, Delhi Police arrested Amir Shokeen after facing intense backlash from Northeast India for his disrespectful behavior towards a young tribal man from Tripura.
This incident, which involved abusive language, racial slurs, and inappropriate physical interactions, took place just two days before his arrest.
