Agartala, June 14 -- Tripura Police have issued a directive restricting police personnel from creating or sharing social media content while wearing official uniform.

In an order, Superintendent of Police (West District) Namit Pathak stated that such content affects the dignity and reputation of the police force.

The order was issued following observations by senior authorities that some police personnel have been posting reels, videos, photographs, and other content on various social media platforms while in uniform.

The department expressed concern that inappropriate, frivolous, or objectionable posts could damage the image, discipline, and public trust associated with Tripura Police.
